A Money-Saving Tip for Your Flood-Related Car Repair
After a sorry weekend last week because of typhoon Ondoy, I really am looking for a place under the sun, like, probably a vacation in Boracay or puerto vallarta mexico. But since my Nissan California was submerged overnight in flood waters, I do not think any vacation is possible as I would have to fix my car.
Some tips for mechanics and car owners to save on expenses as they get their car that was under flood water for a while fixed is to keep the oil drained from other vehicles. The used oil that is separated from the flood water can be reused for the flushing process.
This can be done instead of buying brand new oil. If you have kept enough oil for two to three flushings you can actually flush flood water and mud out thoroughly and then buy new oil for your use. Just a simple tip to save money on having your flood-related car repair.
